At the time of recording, Piki Thomas worked as the Deputy Chief Executive, Kaupapa Māori and Cultural Communities at Fire and Emergency New Zealand. During the COVID-19 Level 4 Lockdown, Piki led more than 80 volunteers to complete the packaging of a total of 19,200 Whānau Ora Hygiene Packs. In this recording, the interviewer introduces Piki.
