She passed away suddenly in Rotorua on March 8, 1964 at the age of 58.

She is eldest daughter of the late William Aldred and Eda Mary Pedlar. She was survived by her sister Marjory, who later passed away in November that year.

Both daughters are buried with their parents. Marjory’s ashes are in her father’s burial plot and Olive’s ashes with her mother’s burial plot, side by side in Rotorua's Sala Street cemetery.
